If you reread your work, you will find on rereading that a great deal of repetition can be avoided by rereading and editing. Never use a long word when a diminutive one will do. Speak, by Laurie Anderson. I enjoyed it for many reasons; it aroused many emotions in me, some being anger, sadness, and shock. In a lot of ways, I could really relate to the main character, Melinda.
